Paul Kleinbaum, Esq.

  Robert Fagella, Esq.

 

Paul L. Kleinbaum is a partner in Zazzali, Fagella, Nowak, Kleinbaum & Friedman, with offices in Newark and Trenton.    The firm has represented the New Jersey State PBA for over 35 years.  Paul has appeared on behalf of the State PBA before the Supreme Court and Appellate Division in many cases dealing with significant issues to the PBA and law enforcement officers.  He also represents many PBA locals throughout New Jersey at the State, County and Municipal levels of government.  He provides advice and counsel to his PBA clients on a wide range of issues, including compliance with the PERC Act, the Civil Service laws, the American with Disabilities Act, Law Against Discrimination, Family Leave Act, and state wage and hour laws.  He represents PBAs in contract negotiations, grievance and interest arbitration, as well as trial and appellate litigation before the Federal and State courts, PERC, Merit System Board, Division of Pensions and other agencies.   Paul also handles disability pension appeals and is member of the PBA Legal Protection Plan.

 


Robert A. Fagella is the managing partner of Zazzali, Fagella, Nowak, Kleinbaum & Friedman, with offices in Newark and Trenton.  The firm has represented the New Jersey State PBA for over 35 years.  Bob has over 30 years experience in a wide variety of litigation, with an emphasis on public sector labor law.  He has successfully handled many trials in state and federal court, and has represented numerous local PBAs in hundreds of grievance arbitrations, PERC proceedings, interest arbitrations and disciplinary appeals. He provides advice and counsel to many PBA locals and their members on wide-ranging issues such as the PERC Act, Civil Service laws, discrimination laws, and state wage and hour laws.

Bob is a former Deputy Attorney General and has served as an Adjunct Professor at Seton Hall Law School.  He is a member of the New Jersey Supreme Court Advisory Committee on Professional Ethics.
